About this item
A matched pair of traditional Kerala brass vilakku (nilavilakku): tall oil lamps with ribbed stems, pointed tops and five-wick bowls, on round bases with drip plates. A pair is the traditional way to frame a mandir, a doorway or a stage for a lamp-lighting. Set of 2: you receive both lamps. Total weight: 1.1 kg. Material: brass. Where it works: on either side of the home mandir or the main door for Diwali, Onam and Vishu, at a griha pravesh, or for the lamp-lighting at a function or inauguration. You receive the two lamps only: the oil, wicks and the other pieces in the photos are not included. Care: let it cool, remove the wicks and wipe out the oil after use. A soft cloth keeps it bright; a little lemon and salt brings back the shine. Rinse and dry it fully. Dispatched from Moradabad, delivered across India.
